BEACHES

The nearest beaches are:

Porthluney (Caerhayes)
Safe, sandy and flat with rock pools to explore at low tide, a large car park on the beach in front of the castle and a well stocked beach cafe and shop. Very safe for families and children. Fresh sandwiches to die for ! Correction to order!

Hemmick
A 'secret' beach approached by narrow lanes adding to the feeling of remoteness. An ideal destination for walkers of the coastline and those who like a "cosy , away from it all" location.  best at low tide.  Top Tip - approach by foot - wallow in the waves and imagine you are on a desert island - the chances are there willbe no - one around from October to Jun

Gorran Haven
A sandy, picturesque harbour with a few shops cafes and public WC's. Very much a family beach easily approached from the car park. This beach can be very crowded in high season.

Vault
A very long beach of sand and rocks approached over the coastal path and well worth the walk. No cafe or facilities - the ideal escape if you like privacy as it never gets crowded even on the hottest days of summer. Either park in the National Trust car park at the top of Lamledra Lane or walk westward from Gorran Haven around the cliff path.
